Our Dam Story

I was working at the Dam as a dam tour guide, it was the summer of 2005 and I had just graduated high school in that May. I was giving my 10:00 tour, I noticed Thomas right off and how cute he was, he was with his mom and dad and brother Scott. I gave my tour but flirted with Tom, I could tell they were LDS and he told me he is a return missionary, I joked around with him that we should get married. And he was really shy and didn’t say much. After the tour was complete, I went back to the desk and Steve followed me there and asked me for my information, I was shocked that the dad asked but felt good about it and gave it to him anyway, and in return Steve gave me Tom’s information, I called him later that night to see if he wanted to go to institute with me, but he already headed back home. Ever since then we talked and talked on the phone, he would drive 434.74 miles to see me which is between 6 and 7 hours. He would come up for the weekends and I would fly up to Salt Lake to see him, every time he would visit or I would come he always had a dozen roses in his hands every time I saw him, he spoiled me and always made me smile. After 8 months his family and mine took a off route tour of the dam and while we were on the top of the dam he got on one knee and asked for my hand. Apparently there was a huge sign hanging down from the visitor center above us but I never saw it until we started walking back and Tom pointed it out. But I said yes and absolutely love him and will love him forever, no matter what. We were sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake temple June 22nd, 2006. He is a good honest and hard working man! I am not saying it’s been very easy but it truly is worth it! I am grateful and very humbled by are tough times, and I love him more then the day I married him he is a great father and a wonderful husband, and he does laundry and cleans the house, what more could I ask for. We have been married for 2 years have a very wonderful little boy. Life is good, I am very blessed!

What a beautiful day it was!!!

I felt like a pretty princess thanks to my mom!!!

Update on Life

We had a good weekend, Friday I had Dad Kimber and the family over for a good dinner, I grilled corn and steak and had green beans, rice and Tom made a Lemon Meringue pie for his dear father since that is his favorite. We had a great time and Scott stayed with us. Saturday we are now proud owners of a 1997 Toyota Camry and we are selling the Mercedes Benz!!! Poor Tom has to part with his first car he has had since he was 16 years old. But we will be saving money, so this is such a blessing. Then Sunday we got up early got ready for Stake Conference, I spent the majority in the back and outside walking my crying baby around the Ogden Temple since we had conference at the tabernacle. Then we came home I cooked a wonderful breakfast for Tom gave him his gift, I got a 30 gift card for itunes for his ipod, and a day planner for his calling work and school. It wasn’t much but he liked it! We are planning a trip so we are saving money to go and have a small vacation somewhere, we cannot decide where to yet.. to many choices! Then we went and ate dinner at our Aunt Shannon's house and had family home evening with Scott and he told us all about his mission! OH ya SCOTT is HOME! I will post pictures later of him. We are so proud of him and we are so happy he is home! Then we came back to the Kimber's and played card games, and the Daddy Daughter Gang won!! WHhhooo hooo..

Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day honey!!! I love you daddy, I miss my dad very much he has always been my hero, no matter what he has always been there for me and such a great example and he arrest bad guys.. what more can a father do but risk his life to make this world safe! My father in law is also awesome is very compassionate and has such a big heart, he is the greatest example to Tom and I know he is the reason Tom is such a great man, and a great father. What a wonderful example they both are to our family. Tom you are an awesome father, to see you light up when Kaden is around and how helpful you are, you love feeding him and changing diapers, you never complain, and the fact your so dedicated in school and how important education is to you so you can provide a good life for our family. I couldn’t ask for a better husband to be the father of my baby boy!

Still on the Love Boat

Another great memory, we went to Lee’s Ferry a few times which was about 15 minutes away from my house in Page Arizona, and we used to bet each other to do weird things, and one particular day I bet tom that he couldn’t stand in the Colorado River for a minute, it was like 20 degrees in January. And I have to tell you Tom has never turned down a challenge, so as the muscle man he is he got in the river and he lasted about 20 seconds before he almost started to scream. It was funny, but then it was my turn… and I screamed like a little girl HA. We have so much fun no matter where we are and who we are with. I love the about us. We never get bored and he always makes me laugh.

Sisterly Love

I have to tell you all about my sisters, Connie is my big sister and a great person, she is a very caring loving person, and she is VERY protective. Growing up we shared a room, and make each other crazy throwing toys on each others side, OH wait it was just me. HA I used to drive my sister crazy by playing with her Barbie’s and once in awhile I would either chopped off her favorite Barbie’s hair or pop the head off. I am not sure why I was a little crap head, but I was you typical little sister and used to do little random acts of violence. But no matter what I did my sister would tell me how much she loves me and after slapping me upside the head would do anything for me and she has always been my best friend. I love you Connie and your big butt miss you sooooo much!!! Your an awesome mother and you have the cutest family! How's that for cheesy?

My new sister, Erin is so freaking awesome, she is got to be one of the most compassionate people I have ever met. She is so wonderful and she is the perfect fit into our family tree. I am grateful that she married my brother, and when they are together I noticed such a change in him, he is full of life and just happy, a happy i dont think i have ever seen. I am so grateful that you are my “little” sister. HA J I know you’re more mature then me but I am so excited that you will be close and that we are best friends too. I love you Erin and miss you too.

My First TRUE Love

Tom is the greatest, we will be celebrating our 2 year anniversary June 22nd. And everytime I blog and update I will put a picture and something sweet up about our love story, it truly is a fairy tale! I am so glad we met and have the privilage to spend eternity together. I love him more and more everyday. He is the greatest father :) This picture was taken on the beach by Lees Ferry in December (cold) but we used to love to sit by the river and throw rocks and lay there telling each other how great the other was. We need to start doing that more often but life together is nothing but heaven.

My Big BOYS

June is starting out to be a cold wet month so far. Kaden is sooooo fun! Tom and I are so blessed :) Kaden has been sitting up on his own for about 2 weeks now, and he no longer will do tummy time, he just rolls right over and keeps rolling sometimes! We had to get him another car seat because he is too tall for his other one. He is the size of a 1 year old at 6 months. HA. He is over 20 pounds and growing everyday!!! Tom and I are starting to plan our trips for the summer, we are excited for the weather to heat up. Tom and his dad have been up to the cabin to clean it up from winters rodents. When they went inside they quickly found out that the water pipes did not take well to the hot and cold weather, and so there was lots of breaks in the pipes and no water for now, but Dad assures me we will have water in by the weekend or next week. Tom and Dad will be at the cabin Thursday and Friday to supervise the young men on their campout. I am so glad Tom has such a fun calling and he loves those boys. I am still just cross stiching and working on my skills so i can beat Tom at tennis on the Wii. Miss you Mom and Dad :)
