A HARD Working Mama!

All I can think about right now is sleep. I think about it a lot because that’s all I can do, all thinking no action, I really get no sleep and some days it’s just scary! SO a update since I haven’t posted in awhile. As most of you know I have two jobs. I work at McKay Dee and Davis hospital some days I work about 20 hours in one day. I am struggling trying to keep up with working both shifts in one day and having no days off… but I am trying my hardest. J I have been missing Kaden so much, and missing Tom. Things will slow down in June, but for now I will just day dream about sleep! I miss you mom and dad….

Kaden feeds HIMSELF!!!!

Kaden feeds himself now!!! I give him a spoon and he knows just what to do with it.. its so dang awesome and gives me some catch up time to get things done while he eats! What a smart boy! I just love watching him learn new things, we go on walks and we play all day long! He is the best "little buddy" ever!

Bad News

Nobody like to get bad news but that doesn't mean it doesn't slap you upside the head in a fury when you aren't looking. That's what happened to me February 19th when my boss pulled me into his office and laid me off. Not a fun feeling, and not a fun experience to try so hard and be a victim of the bad economy. Anybody who has been laid off knows that its like a punch in the gut, or like getting dumped by a former love. It just sucks. So now I am jobless, and very much in need of a job to help support Tom and I through school. But I don't doubt that this happens for a reason to let life give you a taste of humble pie, a big piece of it. Just maybe I needed this experience to make me a smarter employee, and mother, and wife!

Valentines Day

Valentines Day this year was my turn to plan the date and the fun! Uncle Ray was so awesome and gave me 3 tickets (floor seats- you get to eat during halftime and it made me feel special) to the Weber State game on Saturday and we had a ball. It was seriously the best Valentines Day to date! It was simple, not a lot of money and went to the game, had dessert at Denny’s and then went home. Now, I had to be creative, I wanted to do something we have never done before, so I pulled our mattress off the bed and hauled out KING size mattress in the living room, set up our bed, and streamed rose petals from the door to the bed on the floor. Tom was shocked, first he thought it was a blow up bed, which I never thought of, but he was impressed, and we watched movies and well ya know! ;) Now I am blogging about this on 5 days later and the bed is still in the living room. Ha..

Super Bowl

GO Cardinals! We had a small super bowl party at our house- Dad Kimber, Mom Kimber, Ed, and Buddy, and Erin came.. It was so much fun and a real intense game! I won 100 bucks! WHooohooo- Thanks Steve, even though my team didnt win, we sure made out of this one!

Kaden is walking!

Kaden is starting to walk! :) I love it, he gets so happy when he knows he is doing it all by himself. So we play games now, Tom and I sit on seperate sides of the room and we taunt him with things he loves to play with and he walks more and more now. It wont be too long now!

Kaden's Latest Adventure

On Sunday night we went over to the Kimber’s house so Tom could get some homework done and so Kaden could see his grandparents. We figured out he was so entertained with the phone ringing, so they had Ed (brother in law) call the phone and they would pick it up and he would talk to Kaden on the phone. Kaden loves talking on the phone; he gets so serious and just gabbers away! Well after getting tired of calling they just gave him the portable phone and let him play with it. Then within like 15 minutes the Sheriff Department was at the Kimber house, apparently Kaden called 911! It was so funny… nobody thought he could do that, it made for an exciting 20 minutes of fame from the local patrol as they checked through the house. Kaden is no longer allowed to play with their phone! hehe
