The Trek was awesome. I was really glad we were asked to be a Pa and a Ma.. our kids were just awesome! We arrived to Wyoming got our handcarts and walked 6 miles to camp in about 90- 95 degrees! We arrived at camp then set up our tents, we ate dinner then had a fun time line dancing then we had a devotional with our family and went to bed. The mosquito's are so bad up there so our tent was infested with them and yes i have bug bites still all over! I fell asleep very fast and woke up to Tom yelling profanities, I woke up in a panic when he said something was in our tent. Some of the boys caught a jack rabbit and put it in our tent, Tom woke up with it on his leg he said "vibrating" and it jumped by my head and I shewed it out of the tent. This was about 4am and I couldn't go back to sleep. We got up in the morning to rabbit poop in our tent by Tom's leg, I figure the "vibrating" Tom felt on his leg was more like a rabbit pooping! Everyone had a big laugh about it, but Tom was investigating the names of who did it, and wanting a good ole fashion revenge, which he got when he roped one of the boys in the latrine and then he carried the young boys to the pole and duct taped them and had a friendly chat! Then we got up the next day and walked a total of 13 miles or so to Martin's Cove and then we did the river crossing and woman's pull and testimony meeting, went to bed safe and sound. Woke up packed everything up and walked our 6 or 7 miles back to the bus.. we did it.. we walked 26 miles! It was a great experience and a better understanding of the pioneers. Oh by the way, don't fall asleep on a bus when everyone has a camera, note to self!
